This Christmas Season the Church of Scotland churches around Montrose are collaborating in their offerings. The season kicks off this coming Sunday with the annual carol concert with the Town Band and Song Shop in Old & St Andrews Church. The following Sunday the18th December there are two offerings of a different nature. At 2.00pm in Dun & Hillside Church "A time to remember" is a quiet reflective service that recognises that Christmas is not always full of joy and laughter and gives space to remember the loss of a loved one. It is for anyone who has experienced loss in their family or amongst their friends. Later that same day a change of gear for a Christmas Singalong in Ferryden Church Hall. Aimed at all ages this informal gathering will have some traditional carols and some well known Christmas songs. There will also be contributions from the 10:10 Youth Group and the Ferryden Community Choir.
On Christmas Eve there will be a choice of offerings an early evening service for families in Ferryden Church Hall, an evening service in Dun & Hillside Church and the alter Watching service in Old & St Andrews Church. All three churches also have short services int Christmas Day .
