We welcome and value all children and young people at MS&F Church.
Why not come along and join one of our groups.
Meets in MS&F Church at 11am on Sundays.
What's it all about: Come at 11 a.m. with an adult, remain with the church family for 15 minutes or so, then off to the Sunday Club room.
We begin with "news" of our activities of that week. A Bible story, sometimes read together or sometimes a D.V.D. and then we chat about the story. Do you know there are some absolutely amazing people and stories in the Bible (the story about Goliath slain by a young shepherd boy is from the Bible). We hear about God and His Son, Jesus. Crafts are a favourite, usually involving lots of glitter, glue and something to take home. We return to the church family just before the end of the service. Juice and snacks are always on offer.
Special family services are held throughout the year i.e. Easter, Christmas when we stay in for the whole morning service, which is very child friendly (an Easter egg hunt (in church), dressing up at Christmas, sausage sizzle, etc.
Most of all we have FUN at Sunday Club. Our leaders are very friendly and welcoming and very much look forward to welcoming you to our Sunday Club. Please do come to visit us and try us out.
THE 10:10 CLUB
10:10 is a fun and friendly club for young folks aged Primary 6 and upwards. We meet in Ferryden Church Hall each Friday during term time from 7.30- 9.00pm.
What do we do? Well it’s a really varied programme, everything from games nights, wide games outdoors to lip synch battles and film nights- you’d really have to come along to experience it for yourself! The group has a fab friendly feel and everyone is made very welcome – you are guaranteed to have a laugh! Each week we have a main event, plus a snack and a Thought for Life (TFL) which is a chance to discuss real life issues and consider them from a Christian perspective.
There is a voluntary donation of £1 per week to cover the cost of snacks. This is given to our honesty piggy bank who doesn’t bite if you forget to contribute!
We are looking forward to welcoming back our regular members and it would be great to have some new young folks join us too. Why not come along and give it a try? If you’re not sure where to find us just look out for the feather banner sticking out from the wall opposite the pier at Ferryden.
If you would like any more information about the club feel free to contact Meg Cowan via the Contact Us Page.
THE HOLIDAY CLUB
Do you like fun and games and a chance to meet new friends? Well if you are at primary school then the MS&F Holiday Club is probably for you!
Every summer we have a whole week of adventure together where we enjoy Bible stories, crafts, games and lots of laughs on an exciting new theme each year. Over the last few years this has included: Party Kidz, The Wild West, Jungle Kidz, Discovery Island and we are counting down to next year when we hope to be blasting off into outer space!
Each summer about 50 primary school children join us in the Ferryden Church Hall for a week of mornings from 10-12am. We generally split into 4 age groups where the children are looked after by trained and experienced team leaders who make sure everyone is catered for with age appropriate games and activities.
On the Wednesday evening we invite parents and other family members join us for more fun on our games night where they can meet the team and see some of the crafts and art work that decorate the hall.
The week finishes on Sunday with an informal family service in the church with the children taking part and we have a chance to hear what they have been up to and see lots of photos of the events of the week. We round this off with a family BBQ in the church grounds.
There is no charge for the holiday club and all children from those who are starting primary school to those who are finishing are welcome to join us. Booking is done online and is best done in advance as this can be a popular event!
HOPE TO SEE YOU NEXT SUMMER!
